Port Campbell
is a small coastal town on the Great Ocean Road
in the middle of the wondrous and justly famous
Shipwreck Coast, and is adjacent to Port Campbell
National Park with its spectacular limestone monoliths
- the Twelve Apostles. It is perfectly situated
to use as a base for tours. Port Campbell’s
natural harbour is right at the very heart of the
village and is ideal for swimming. Good surfing
and fishing spots are nearby. Once a sleepy fishing
village, Port Campbell’s increasing popularity
has produced many places to eat and stay and has
a selection of interesting shops to explore.
The Discovery Walk to Two Mile Bay
lookout provides sweeping coast views, while the walk
from the town to the jetty includes rescue equipment
and information about the wreck of the Fiji near Moonlight
Head.
