Tell Tales 4th March 2006
The weather for the day warm to sunny and hot, not much good for sailing. The course was set in a very light sse breeze of 5 knots which slowly strengthened as the race evolved.

Yachties have to put a with a lot of different conditions and Saturday was an unusual one with a fog rolling in off the sea and covering the whole course. It was something different for everybody. Slowly the fog lifted, the wind got up and our fleet completed a good race.

Pete Depps and crew with his baby on board, along with the other keel boats sailed credible races especially when Tumble weed and Interlude pulled up their spinnakers. It was a very impressive sight .

In the pink, and Windswept had a battle on all day with Windswept taking the honors at the end of the day .

As per usual Matt and Gary were out in front, the absence of Peter Geekie leaving them very lonely.

I must make mention of Hell and High Water. Peter is there most weeks with Ella, and believe me they are improving as each week goes by. Keep up the good work.

Thank you to those who turned up for the clean up OZ day and to Gary McPike for the breaky.

Also to our sponsors, Beachfront Motel, Mobil service station ,Ocean Road Hotel, Apollo Bay Hotel, J & C Marriner Earthmoving.
