*‘Outing days’, sail to location, lunch, sail home (perhaps Sundays)
*Stern chases
*Short course format (early in season)
*Kid friendly sailing
*Increase younger membership
*Invitation to participate on Ynglings/keel boats to anyone who has expressed interest in trying sailing/joining club.

Club Boats:
* Yngling Trailer
Trailer construction and galvanising finished – looks wonderful!
Thank you to John M for sourcing grant and for organising Michael Hooke to construct the trailer. Pete B and Matt A for measuring up, suggesting adjustments, sourcing and collecting lots of parts and writing lots of cheques.
Come and check it out at the Working Bee Sunday 17th Oct, 2 days after the Paella night!
* Rescue Boat
Thank you to Russell Smith and Pete Bourne for getting onto the rescue boat’s needs during winter. The rescue boat is fundamental to so much of what the club does.
* Rescue Boat Trailer
A new rescue boat trailer has been purchased with support from Pete Sarda & Pete Bourne. Deb Tovey’s grant application to Bendigo Bank was successful and will cover ½ the cost of new trailer. Thank you and congratulations Deb, who wrote a great application really quickly. Awesome!

Local Radio OCR FM:
Peter Bourne and John Marriner will be doing a session on local radio station 88.7 OCR FM to chat about the club….more details to come.
Possibility of the club having a regular 5 – 15 min spot on location on Saturday mornings - chat about race of the day, include weather/swell report, encouraging participation, etc.

Flying Fifteen Mark 1 States:
Lid’s has the dates and details – Mid November at the Royals in Williamstown. Be There!!

25 Year Anniversary:
Next year is the 25th anniversary of the sailing club – John Marriner will source memorabilia, past member’s info, etc and initiate planning for a celebration. This shouldn’t go by unnoticed.

Rescue Boat Briefing:
A rescue boat briefing for all members needs to occur pre-season/start of season to ensure all are aware of rescue boat’s duties and can assist if needed. Also, members encouraged to undertake training/boat license.

Clubhouse:
Pete Sarda enquired of possibility of improvements to club to include decking, veranda/shade-cloth, wind break – some sort of shade quite necessary.
Current lease includes only 1m of land around the clubhouse, Mick Heland is liaising with shire/local harbour authority/ DSE re: possibility of updating lease and carrying out some improvements. Go long Mick!

Ynglings:
Mick Heland suggested for upcoming season that Ynglings have a ‘boat captain’ and pool of core people to streamline the care/maintenance and sailing. All applicants make an orderly queue!!

Know Your Rules:
Play the Rules of Sailing Game designed by Ulrich + Wolfi Finckh. Have fun and improve your knowledge of the Racing Rules of Sailing by viewing simulated incidents. The game offers three levels of difficulty, easy - medium - difficult to provide for all levels of sailors.
